I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
